We are thrilled to celebrate the successful completion of the 2025 University of Ghana Dietetics Internship Programme! This November, students from Iowa State University joined forces with University of Ghana students for a month of impactful community engagement at the Nutrition Research and Training Centre, Asesewa.

From the clinical to the communal, these future dietitians moved beyond the classroom to make a real difference:

• 🎙️ Shared vital health tips on Trust FM regarding anaemia.

• 🏫 Educated the next generation at local school outreach programs.

• 🥣 Got hands-on experience preparing Weanimix and hosted a community Durbar to provide nutrition education.

• 🥘 Mastered the art of traditional Ghanaian cuisine!

It wasn’t all work, though! Our interns experienced the heart of Ghana at Boti Falls, Bunsu Eco Park, and the vibrant Koforidua bead market.

We closed the chapter with a beautiful farewell dinner, celebrating the friendships and knowledge shared. Congratulations to all our interns!
